Privacy policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

This website belongs to Anya Duggan, author of Date 96 and an intentional dating coach. We are the data controller for the personal information described here — meaning we decide what is collected through this site and how it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information this site collects, why we collect it, where it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If anything here is unclear, please ask — the contact details are at the bottom.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the reason you are getting in touch and your message.
  • Dating readiness quiz and email sign-ups: your name (optional), your email address and your quiz result — that is, the stage of the Intentional Dating Blueprint your answers pointed to.
  • Standard analytics and advertising data: information your browser sends when you visit, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring website and cookie identifiers used to measure advertising.
  • Orders and deliveries: when you buy the book or a coaching program, we keep a record of the order — your name, email address, what you bought, the amount, the order reference and, for a paperback, the delivery address you enter.
  • Coaching sessions: the notes and context you share with us so we can coach you properly.

We do not see or store your card details. Payments are taken by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and card and billing data stays with Paddle and its payment processors.

We do not ask for sensitive information, and we would rather you did not send health, financial or identity details through the forms on this site.

How and where it is stored

Form and quiz submissions are stored in a secure, access-controlled database hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted to Anya and anyone directly assisting her, and the admin view is password protected. The public website cannot read the list of submissions.

Why we collect it

  • To send you book news and to run the pre-launch mailing list for Date 96.
  • To respond to coaching enquiries, waitlist requests, speaking and media enquiries.
  • To send you the result of the readiness quiz and the material that goes with it.
  • To fulfil your order — posting your book, giving you access to a program, sending receipts and order updates, and providing support.
  • To keep proper business, tax and accounting records, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To understand how the site and our advertising are performing, so we can improve both.

Where you have given us your email address for one of these reasons, we may email you about the book, the coaching programs and related news. You can stop that at any time.

Our legal basis

  • Performing our contract with you: order, delivery and coaching information, so we can give you what you paid for and support you afterwards.
  • Your consent: the mailing list, the readiness quiz result, the sample chapter, and advertising and analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Our legitimate interests: answering enquiries, keeping the site secure, preventing fraud, and measuring how well our site and advertising work.
  • Legal obligation: keeping tax and financial records, and responding to lawful requests.

Tracking and cookies

This site uses the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram advertising) to measure and improve our advertising. The Meta Pixel sets cookies in your browser and shares limited event data with Meta — for example that a page was viewed, that a form was submitted, or that a call booking was started. It does not share the contents of your message.

You can read how Meta handles this information in Meta's Privacy Policy and Meta's Cookies Policy. You can also limit this tracking through your browser settings, your device's ad settings, or your Meta ad preferences.

Alongside these advertising cookies, the site and the checkout use a small number of essential cookies — they keep the page working, hold the admin login session and let the payment overlay operate. Those cannot be switched off without breaking the site. Advertising and measurement cookies are the ones you can decline through the settings above.

Third parties who may handle your information

  • Paddle.com — our Merchant of Record. Paddle sells the book and the programs on our behalf and handles the checkout, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds. Paddle receives your name, email address, billing and delivery details and what you bought, and acts as its own controller for that. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
  • Meta Platforms — advertising measurement and audience delivery.
  • Supabase — secure database hosting for form, quiz and order records.
  • Calendly — booking intro calls, where you choose to book one. Calendly collects the details you enter in its booking form.
  • Our email provider — sending the mailing list, order confirmations and replies to enquiries.
  • Postal and delivery services — the name and address needed to post your paperback.
  • Professional advisers — our accountant and, if ever needed, our lawyers, only where relevant.
  • Regulators and authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law.

Some of these providers store or process data overseas, including in the United States. We use reputable providers and only share what they need to do their job.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent our mailing list.

Your rights

  • Access: ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your details, unless we are required to keep them.
  • Unsubscribe: leave the mailing list at any time using the link in any email, or by asking us directly.

We will respond to a request within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Retention and security

We keep mailing list details for as long as you want to hear from us, and enquiry details for as long as we reasonably need them to answer you and keep proper records. Order and payment records are kept for seven years, because Australian tax law requires it. Coaching notes are kept for the length of your program and for a reasonable period afterwards. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information — encrypted connections, access-controlled storage, password-protected admin access and a policy of collecting only what we actually need. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously.

Children

This site and the coaching programs are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
